Built on the same spot of the engagements, in a wooded park of 6 hectares, the museum of the Breton Resistance of Saint-Marcel perpetuates the memory of this army of the shade which had refused the yoke of the occupant Nazi.

This museum of history, single in Brittany, makes you discover on 1500 m2 of permanent exposure, the life and the engagement of Breton during the second world war. It is there too, which the former parachutists of free France decided to present their national exposure since 1994.

With an aim of playing an educational part, the museum profited from a “museologic dynamics” of great importance which in fact an execution of very first plan, and completely original in its spirit of presentation and comprehension.

The many collections presented in the six rooms, for certain, unique in France and are supplemented by the many audio-visual ones and explanatory models.

On the spot the visit can be translated into English as in German.
